Yukio is an ex-farmer working as a dump-truck driver in Kashima. Haunted by the drowning of his two young sons, whose names he has had tattooed on his back in penance, and locked in a sibling rivalry with his traditional but urbane younger brother who lives in Tokyo, Yukio has become an amphetamine-addicted loner at odds with his family, friends and colleagues.

خلاصه داستان : هنرمند نجاری تاکومی به روستای کوچک آسوکا نقل مکان می کند. سپس با کایوکو، زنی که به مدرسه تاکومی رفته بود، آشنا می شود. کایوکو مجذوب رنگ هانزو (زرشکی) شده است. با دوست پسر تتسویا زندگی می کند. به زودی او عاشق تاکومی می شود.

Woodwork artist Takumi moves to the small village Asuka in Nara Prefecture. He remodels old homes and lives a peaceful existence with nature. Takumi then meets Kayoko, a woman who went to the same school as Takumi. Kayoko is fascinated with the color crimson. She dyes scarves with the color of hanezu. Kayoko lives with boyfriend Tetsuya, who works as an editor of a PR magazine. They live together. Soon, Kayoko falls in love with Takumi.

خلاصه داستان : داستان مردی به‌نام آکیرا که روزی با موکل قبلی‌اش ملاقات می‌کند و از آکیرا می‌خواهد تا سابقه‌ی همسر مرحومش دایسوکه را بررسی کند.

After divorcing, Rie has found happiness with her second husband Daisuke and formed a new family. But when Daisuke dies in a tragic accident, she discovers her new husband was not the man she thought he was. Rie calls on the attorney Kido to help her find the truth about the identity of the man she loved. A quest that will open larger questions about the nature of identity itself, and what makes a person real at all.
